Clinical Technology
Measured and planned before treatment
Each piece of equipment in the office answers a clinical question: whether a site can hold an implant, where it should sit, and how the tissue will heal around it.
In the Office
Five tools, one plan
The technology supports a decision rather than replacing it. Imaging and scans show what is there; Dr. Hanookai’s examination and judgment decide what to do.
Periodontal Diagnostics
3D imaging & CT scanning
Bone height, width and density are read in three dimensions alongside periodontal charting, so recession, bone loss and the space available for an implant are measured rather than estimated.
A CT scan shows what a standard radiograph cannot: the width of the jawbone, the position of the nerve in the lower jaw and the floor of the sinus in the upper jaw. That information decides whether an implant can be placed as the site stands, or whether bone grafting or a sinus lift should come first.
Guided Precision
Digital implant planning
The scan and the 3D image are combined to set implant position and angle before treatment, working back from the restoration the implant will carry.
Planning starts with the tooth: where it needs to sit to look natural and bite correctly. The implant is then positioned to support it, within the available bone. The plan can be shared with your restoring dentist before treatment, so both offices are working toward the same result.
Impression-Free
Digital 3D scanning
Full-arch records captured in minutes without an impression tray, then kept so changes in the gums and teeth can be compared over time.
A handheld scanner records the teeth and gums as a detailed 3D image. For many patients it is more comfortable than impression material, and the scan feeds directly into implant planning and the models printed in the office.
Made on Site
In-house 3D printing
Implant models and provisionals are printed in the office from the digital plan, rather than sent to an outside lab.
Printing on site shortens the time between planning and treatment. Models let Dr. Hanookai check the plan in physical form, and provisionals give you a temporary tooth or teeth while the implants heal.
Soft Tissue
Laser gum treatment
Gum tissue is reshaped with a laser, with minimal discomfort and in many cases without sutures.
The laser removes or reshapes tissue precisely and seals small blood vessels as it works, which limits bleeding. It is used for gum contouring, to even an uneven gum line, and in the treatment of gum disease where suitable. Healing time depends on the procedure and is discussed at your consultation.
Comfort
IV sedation
IV sedation is available for implant treatment and longer appointments. Whether it is suitable for you is discussed at your consultation, along with your medical history.
Ask about sedation when you schedule, so the appointment can be planned around it.
