Dr. Delaram Hanookai treats the bone and gum tissue that support natural teeth and dental implants. She trained at USC, later taught there for ten years, and has more than 28 years of clinical experience.

Clinical Approach
Treatment starts with why the problem exists: how much bone is present, how the gum tissue is behaving, and what the final restoration will need.
Examine before recommending
Periodontal charting, radiographs and, where needed, 3D imaging are reviewed before treatment is proposed. The findings are explained first, then the options.
Conservative care first
Gum disease is treated with the least involved approach that will control it. Grafting, regeneration or implant treatment is recommended when the findings call for it.
Planned to the final result
An implant’s position is set by the tooth it will support, then confirmed against the available bone and tissue. When a site is not ready, it is developed first.
